Kuper officially files for District 21

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Community and business leader Stacy Kuper officially filed Wednesday to run for County Council Seat 21, which represents a wide swath of the county’s eastside.

She is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class 38, where she worked on the Ronald McDonald front beautification project, and is an executive board Parliamentarian for Pendleton Place. Currently, Kuper serves on the Greenville Police Foundation, the LG Curriculum Board, and the Greenville Chamber Small Business Development Council. Additionally, she served on the Greenville County Economic Development Council’s advisory board. Stacy actively volunteers with the American Red Cross, Euphoria, March of Dimes, Ronald McDonald House and many others.

Kuper said District 21 has been a drawing card for Greenville growth for years, but faces challenges of over congestion, aging infrastructure and lack of green space, Kuper said.

Kuper wants Greenville to take more proactive steps in growth and economic development. She believes in a long-term approach to infrastructure and development and has an idealized concept of what can and should be done for growth in District 21 neighborhoods.

“District 21 has a history of strong leadership. I am the candidate that can best keep up that strong legacy,” she said. “I will always listen and be accessible.”
